Software Asset Management Session Must-See’s from USU World 2020
As a member of the USU Group, Aspera’s Software Asset Management team is a central fixture at the annual USU World. But in the face of a global pandemic, The USU Group, Europe’s largest vendor of IT and Knowledge Management software, had an unexpected challenge this year: how to quickly pivot its annual users’ conference to an online platform.
USU World has been held in cities throughout Germany since its kick-off ten years ago, and after a very successful event last year, the digital summit was set to return to Berlin for the second time in a row. But health and safety concerns forced the summit to move online, a new format for the USU World, with new challenges and new opportunities.
USU World Goes Digital for 2020
USU World Goes Digital was announced in late April. Instead of gathering in Berlin, participants met online for three days from Monday, May 25th – May 28th. Hundreds of people from the largest organizations in the world logged onto the USU platform to learn about new software solutions to support their digitalization strategy. The event was a rousing success. Participants logged in from all over the world to attend the digital summit.
Aspera’s SAM experts recorded numerous seminars and hosted live sessions to help attendees learn how to meet their software license management challenges. The topics ranged from the future of Software Asset Management, cloud cost optimization, doing data discovery in the data center, to SAP license management during the COVID-19 pandemic.
