Using SAM technology for sustainable GDPR Compliance

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into EU law on 25th May 2018. Under the law, there is an expectation that all companies that operate in any of the 27 EU states will be in compliance of the new regulations. However, indications are that many companies at the moment fall a long way short of achieving compliance status and the danger is that if audited they will face substantial fines – potentially up to 4% of their annual revenue!
Roger Mallett will talk about how SAM can help, supported by another GDPR expert, Rupert Brown from Cyber Consultants.
GDPR requires companies to understand what personal data they hold, where it is and that they can demonstrate that they manage it properly. Part of the complexity is to understand what you actually need to run your business and what steps you take to delete unnecessary data.
Rupert will explain how Aspera’s SAM platform can be integrated as critical competency evidence into a sustainable general compliance platform and will give some observations and anecdotes from real world customer engagements on the front line of GDPR audits and remediation that are already causing problems across all industry sectors.
The webinar will suggest some key areas of activity that can be put in place now to accelerate the compliance process. It will be entertaining and informative.
